Many environmental activities are conducted to celebrate Earth week or Earth Month in the month of April in Australia. This year Earth Day was celebrated on April 22nd drawing 4000 cities and towns of 88 countries. The concept was introduced by Gaylord Nelson and arranged by Denis Hayes in 1970. The main idea behind this is to lay a foundation that all people should have a right for a healthy and nourishing environment and they should work for achieving the idea. Earth day this year launched Green Generation Campaign, a two year project started to bring a carbon- free future and make a green economy. The project also plans to generate many green jobs that can raise the people form the level of poverty. It is a fantastic two-in-one project
